Julie Walker Named Regional Director of LMI’s Southwest Regional Office

Tysons, VA, July 11, 2017 — LMI is pleased to announce its recent hire of Julie Walker, who will join LMI as the regional director for its Southwest Regional Office in San Antonio, Texas. Walker joins LMI from L-3 Communications, where she served as a divisional director in San Antonio. Walker will be responsible for growing LMI’s business while overseeing operations in the region.

Walker brings nearly 30 years of experience to LMI. Upon retiring from the U.S. Air Force after a 20-year career, Walker supported pipeline and contracts management for engineering services, led IT development and integration, conducted intelligence analysis and provided cyber test range support for the Air Force and Department of Defense. While in the military, Walker served as an acquisition staff officer, intelligence officer, commander, staff officer at the USAF Academy, director of information operations systems in San Antonio, Texas, and commander of the 688th Armament Systems Squadron at Eglin Air Force Base.

Walker has a master’s degree in government from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the USAF Academy. She is DoD Level III certified in program management and Level II in information technology and systems planning, research, development and engineering, and supports local chapters of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) and USAF Academy Association of Graduates.
