Employee Benefits

Our benefits stand up to the test.

LMI offers a comprehensive and industry-competitive benefits package to eligible employees who work 20 or more hours per week.

Health Insurance

We offer our employees comprehensive medical insurance coverage through nationally recognized carriers. Coverage is effective as of the date of hire, and LMI pays a significant portion of the premiums for single or family coverage. We also offer dental and vision benefits.

We also offer a medical buyout that pays a substantial monthly stipend to employees who have medical coverage through a spouse’s employer or other eligible coverage.

Flexible Spending Accounts

LMI’s Flexible Spending Account program allows participants to use pre-tax dollars to pay for many medical expenses not covered under health insurance plans, as well as dependent care expenses, according to IRS guidelines.

LMI's retirement program is among the best in the industry. Starting from their date of hire, employees can contribute a portion of their salary on a tax-deferred basis to a 403(b) or 401(k) plan (as applicable). LMI offers a generous contribution and/or match to eligible employees within their applicable plan.

Annual Leave and Holidays

Full-time eligible employees accrue annual leave at generous rates starting on the first day of hire, with increases available thereafter, depending on the number of years of service. In addition, LMI employees observe the 10 holidays recognized by the federal government. Part-time eligible employees accrue annual and holiday leave on a prorated basis.

Sick Leave

LMI has a sick leave policy that covers short-term illnesses of eligible employees who become medically incapacitated and are unable to perform their work duties. In addition, we provide employer-paid short-term disability insurance, and group term life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance.

Tuition Assistance and Professional Development

LMI emphasizes continuing education. Eligible employees can receive tuition assistance for accredited courses that contribute to LMI’s work objectives. In fact, LMI has seen many of our employees go on to receive master’s degrees and PhDs with the help of our tuition assistance program. In addition, LMI will pay for preparation courses for professional examinations, as well as examination fees for certifications in areas such as professional engineering, project management, Lean Six Sigma, information technology, human resources, and others.

LMI also offers an array of on-site and online customized courses to all employees to enhance knowledge and build skills that help us to serve clients better and facilitate professional growth. Some are taught by LMI staff members and some by outside instructors. An additional benefit that LMI provides to its employees is an online library of business courses, which they may access at their convenience.

Moreover, the Project Management Institute™ (PMI™) certified LMI as a Registered Education Provider. LMI supports the attainment and maintenance of PMI™ PMP certifications, by paying for preparation coursework and testing.  For employees with PMI™ PMP certification, that means LMI project management training classes count toward the professional development unit (PDU) credits required to maintain annual PMI™ certification.

LMI also supports employee participation in professional conferences and workshops. Employees are encouraged to present papers, contribute as panelists, and help organize professional meetings in their respective functional areas.
