Southwest Region – San Antonio, Texas

Like you, LMI has a proud past and a vibrant future.

As San Antonio continues to grow in national prominence, LMI is excited to be playing an important role. When our military and public sector clients make the strategic decision to centralize or expand in Texas, we’re right there—ready to help turn their vision into operational action.

With our more than 50-year history of helping to improve the business of government, it’s no wonder our clients count on us when they’re looking for solutions that grasp and conquer complexity: practical solutions that bring forward the best of private-sector tools, methods, and practices, yet work with a deep understanding of government-specific context.

Laying the foundation for a big impact through four diverse projects.

Building on our impressive corporate heritage, LMI’s Southwest Regional Office (SWRO) is proudly contributing to the important changes government is making to ready itself for tomorrow.

Army Medical Command
In the area of healthcare, LMI provides both program management and technical medical logistics help to the Army Medical Command as it identifies, procures, and installs the medical equipment required for future operations of DoD military medical education at the Medical Education Training Campus, surgical research at the Battlefield Health Trauma Institute, and leading-edge medical treatment at the San Antonio Military Medical Center. Our SWRO team also has been managing the initial outfitting and transition capability development work LMI does for community-based primary care clinics, Ft. Hood Medical Center and the Aberdeen Proving Ground Research Laboratory.

Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services
LMI assists the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight in developing information technology strategy and materials for qualified health plan certification and management, specifically related to plan rate analysis and benefit package review. Through this work, LMI is now helping to shape how CMS chooses and engages the plans it offers on the federally-facilitated exchange (FFE), in compliance with FFE standards.

General Services Administration
For the General Services Administration (GSA) Public Buildings Service Rent Bill Management Program, LMI provides quality control and oversight. LMI financial analysts and auditors perform a final quality review of rent bills to clients who have leased space from GSA, and our rent bill management team performs reviews on each occupancy agreement within the prescribed time standard and with a goal of 100 percent accurate rent bills.

Air Force Civil Engineer Center
LMI supports the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) in San Antonio by working in close collaboration with partners at the Southwest Research Institute and University of Texas at San Antonio, Texas Sustainable Energy Research Institute. The LMI team is providing unbiased, independent assessments to support environmental, readiness, energy, operations, installations, and facility engineering functional areas across the Air Force Civil Engineer enterprise. In this, as in all of our engagements, our not-for-profit charter means that our focus aligns with our clients’ aim: excellence in government operations.

We’re here on the ground, building collaborative relationships with our clients in pursuit of that common goal. For example, other projects that we have supported through our SWRO include the Army Installation Management Command; Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Agency; and Joint Base San Antonio.

Our resources are deep. So is our impact.

LMI supports over 40 U.S. government agencies, and the results of these studies and analysis often have direct applicability to state and local governments. The SWRO has projects with the city of San Antonio analyzing the feasibility of sharing municipal services with Joint Base San Antonio and analyzing the effectiveness of the city’s Edwards Aquifer Protection Program. We also supported Port San Antonio with a workforce analysis looking at the future needs.

These opportunities are ideal for LMI as they draw on cross-functional expertise, deep understanding of the government landscape, and commitment to providing effective, value-driven solutions to public sector challenges.
