Occupational Health and Safety

We help our clients safeguard their most valuable resource.

LMI helps government agencies foster safe work environments for all of their employees.

We offer assistance on all aspects of planning and managing occupational health and safety programs:

  • Developing policies, procedures, and documentation
  • Providing gap analyses and audits of existing programs for regulatory compliance
  • Developing program tools and applications to help managers analyze and improve occupational health and safety programs
  • Evaluating operational processes to identify impacts on safety and occupational health
  • Delivering training on proper work practices.

For the U.S. Postal Service, we developed a comprehensive safety toolkit that includes web and hand-held safety inspection and program evaluation tools as well as accident reduction planning methods, hazard logs, and other safety resources in support of the Postal Employees Safety Enhancement Act. We have performed policy gap analyses for the Army, Navy, Air Force, and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. We worked with the International Monetary Fund to prioritize program elements and build an action plan to address program risks. We continue to support the worldwide Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM) safety program with subject matter expert services, safety communication messages to employees and families, and assistance with the driver training registration application, the Army IMCOM Registration System (AIRS), which we developed.
