Philip A. Odeen  Joins Board of Trustees

Prominent industry leader added to LMI Board

McLean, Virginia, December 10, 2004—LMI, a private, nonprofit corporation dedicated to improving public-sector management, announced that it has added Philip A. Odeen to its Board of Trustees.

Mr. Odeen is the former Chairman of TRW. Prior to that, he was a member of TRW’s Management Committee and served as Executive Vice President of its Washington-focused operations. Mr. Odeen was President and Chief Executive Officer of BDM, which was acquired by TRW in 1997. Before joining BDM, he was Vice Chairman for Management Consulting Services at Coopers & Lybrand.

Mr. Odeen also served in senior positions with the Department of Defense and the National Security Council. He was Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Systems Analysis, and later led the Defense and Arms Control staff for then-National Security Advisor Henry Kissinger. He is a member and former vice-chairman of the Defense Science Board.

By joining the Board of Trustees, which governs LMI, Mr. Odeen will work alongside other trustees with high-level experience and recognized reputations in government, business, industry, and academia. They provide broad policy guidance, review and approve strategy, and exercise final authority over LMI business affairs.
