SOLE Honors LMI’s Bob Burleson

SOLE Honors LMI’s Bob Burleson
Tom Griffiths, Bob Burleson, and Dave Keller.

Washington, DC, November 20, 2009—Bob Burleson of LMI received the 2009 award for Logistics Analysis from the Greater Washington Area Chapter of SOLE, the International Society of Logistics. He received this award for his skills in systems modeling, operations analysis, and computer programming; his performance as an Air Force supply officer; and his support to his clients in the aerospace and defense communities.

He was presented the award by Tom Griffiths, Chairman of the Greater Washington Area Chapter of SOLE. Also present was Dave Keller, LMI Program Director for Supply Chain Management.

Burleson contributed to the structure of the defense logistics enterprise through his work for the Base Realignment and Closure Commission, recognized at the highest levels of the Department of Defense. His contributions to the analysis of retention policy provided, for the first time, a rational, economic method of addressing a long-standing government problem.

LMI, a not-for-profit firm headquartered in McLean, Virginia, has served the government since 1961, seeking to improve agency management through independent analysis and counsel in logistics, infrastructure, and resource management.
