MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

At LMI, we are growing and diversifying to meet the evolving needs of government management. Today, government managers need access to new tools, capabilities,and specialized expertise to respond to the rapid developments in technology, changing world environment, and increasing agency responsibilities. They also need a prescient view of events over the horizon.

To help these leaders stay on the cutting edge, we built the LMI Research Institute—a research and development group dedicated to discovering revolutionary ideas for advancing government management. Focusing on advanced analytic reasoning and pioneering new quantitative methods, the Research Institute conducts over $2 million of independent research annually. It features exceptional thinkers in government management: the Distinguished Visiting Scholar, a notable academic who presides over the group every year; esteemed Chairs, who have accomplished records in each of LMI's six mission areas; and LMI's top researchers. We see the Research Institute as our innovation engine and an ongoing source of thought leadership for the government management community.
