SICK LEAVE

Nobody likes to think about being ill. But when illness strikes, it’s nice to know that the company you work for stands behind you. LMI has a generous sick leave policy that covers short-term illnesses of salaried employees who become incapacitated medically and are unable to perform their work duties. Our approach to this benefit differs from that of other companies that purchase short-term disability insurance. Rather than pay expensive premiums, we self-fund the benefit. We trust our employees to use sick leave only when needed. Our sick leave policy offers employees peace of mind, knowing that they will continue to receive their full salary while on sick leave, most likely until they can return to work or become eligible for long-term disability (LTD).

Long-term DISABILITY

LTD insurance is available to salaried employees for debilitating illnesses or conditions. It provides income replacement of 60 percent to a maximum monthly benefit.

Accident Insurance

LMI provides salaried employees with an employee-only accident insurance policy at no charge to the employees. They may buy additional coverage for themselves and for their family members.

Life insurance & AD&D

Group term life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance is offered to salaried employees on a contributory basis. Coverage is effective from the date of hire.
