Our headquarters is in a class A building, conveniently located just off the Capital Beltway near Tysons Corner, VA, in the Washington metropolitan area. It offers attractive office space, an on-site cafeteria, and a number of other amenities, including concierge services and free parking. We have a newly renovated, state-of-the-art, on-site exercise facility at our headquarters, with aerobic and strength-training equipment, free weights, and showers. A stipend for gym membership is available to off-site employees. LMI employees have access to a variety of money-saving services through the Pentagon Federal Credit Union.
Tuition Assistance and professional developmentAll salaried employees are eligible to receive tuition assistance for courses that contribute to LMI's work objectives. In addition, LMI will pay for preparation courses for professional examinations, as well as examination fees. LMI also offers an array of on-site courses to all employees to enhance knowledge and build skills that help us to serve clients better and facilitate professional growth. Some are taught by LMI staff members and some by outside instructors. An additional benefit that LMI provides to its employees is an online library of business courses, which they may access at their convenience. recognition awardsLMI's recognition programs are designed to promote an environment in which employees are encouraged to excel. The programs consist of monetary and nonmonetary awards intended to reward an individual's contributions to LMI's overall success. employee assistance programsEmployees have a lot to juggle in their family and work lives, so we offer a confidential Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through a specialty provider for help with personal, professional, financial, and legal concerns.
BACKUP CHILD AND ELDER CARELMI has partnered with a national provider of employer-sponsored work-life solutions to provide backup child and elder care. Eligible employees have access to a network of child daycare centers in the national capital region. In-home care services are also available for children and elderly relatives. LMI subsidizes the annual membership fees; employees pay a modest copay per use.
LONG-TERM CARE INSURANCE LMI offers a voluntary long-term care (LTC) insurance plan for eligible employees and their family members. LTC insurance covers care in a nursing home, assisted living facility, and at home when someone is unable to perform basic living activities or is cognitively impaired. This plan is 100 percent employee-paid.
FAMILY MATTERS @ LMI PROGRAM This program allows employees to suspend full-time work for up to 3 years for child rearing, for elder care, or to care for immediate family members that are ill. When ready to return to work, a participating employee will be reinstated to his or her job or a similar position, subject to business conditions. Employees must apply for approval to participate in the program.
COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS LMI recognizes the importance of community connections. As an employer, it supports its employees' participation in volunteer activities that contribute to the local community, region, and nation. These programs include Rebuilding Together, America Recycles Day, Children's National Medical Center, Project Hope, and the American Red Cross. In many cases, LMI matches employee contributions in a shared spirit of helping others in need and making our communities more livable. |
