McLean, Virginia, October 29, 2005 — The Data Interchange Standards Association (DISA) awarded Harry Featherstone of LMI the 2005 Guilbert Award. DISA is a not-for-profit organization that supports the development of cross-industry electronic business interchange standards. The Guilbert Award honors a select group of professionals who have made significant and enduring contributions to the e-commerce community. The award is named after Edward A. As a leader in the e-commerce standards community, he chaired the ASC X12 Strategic Implementation Task Group, an organization responsible for developing and implementing modeled business processes and the next generation of object technology information exchange standards. In addition, he served as the U.S. Head of Delegation representative to UN/CEFACT Steering Group, responsible for advocating United States government requirements in all international electronic business transaction exchange environments, including electronic data interchange (EDI), Extensible Markup Language, and object-oriented technology.
