LMI McLean, Virginia, February 8, 2006—Matthew G. “Matt” Henry joined LMI February 1, 2006, as a senior fellow. He will apply his broad experience in management, strategic and program planning, human capital, information technology, and logistics to projects across LMI.
Mr. Henry, who came to LMI from Apogen Technologies, is a former Department of the Navy Senior Executive Service member. At Apogen, he was vice president of the Defense Systems Group, which supported the development and sustainment of the Navy’s manpower and personnel information systems. Before that, he was the Assistant Deputy Chief of Naval Operations (Manpower and Personnel), following an extended assignment in the assessment division (N81) on the staff of the Chief of Naval Operations, in which he focused on the Planning, Programming, and Budgeting System.
Mr. Henry has bachelor’s degrees in physics from the University of the South (Sewanee) and in engineering from Columbia University. He also has a master’s degree in systems management from the University of Southern California.
LMI periodically adds individuals who have a record of distinguished government service in civil agencies or national security organizations to its staff. These senior fellows are resources available to the staff to help validate an approach or focus an argument, among other invaluable assistance. They also have a background in particular organizations or communities and a senior-level perspective on the functions and processes characteristic of certain segments of government.
