NEWSMark Lyford Promoted to Program Manager Will provide IT management support for federal healthcare systems.
McLean, Virginia, June 20, 2006—Adm. Donald L. Pilling, CEO of LMI, announced the promotion of Mark A. Lyford to Program Manager in the Health Systems Management group. As Program Manager, Mr. Lyford will support the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Strategic National Stockpile at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and National Veterinary Stockpile at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He is also managing the information management/information technology alignment portion of the Military Health System transformation planning contract.
Mr. Lyford joined LMI in 2005 to provide expertise on medical logistics information systems to the Health Systems Management group. He is a former career Army officer with more than 17 years’ experience managing information technology projects and medical logistics systems. His last assignment prior to joining LMI was as the Program Executive Officer, Joint Medical Information Program, in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense, Health Affairs.
