LMI President and CEO Selects Project of the Year

Selection made from three projects nominated by operating units

McLean, Virginia, March 25—President and CEO Don Pilling selected this year’s project of the year from among three that were nominated by our operating unit vice presidents. The primary criteria for selection was that the project had to produce a report that was clearly written, documented sound analysis, presented a solid basis for improving operations, and contributed to enhancing LMI’s reputation. The projects nominated by our three operating unit vice presidents all met these criteria. Those projects and the staff who worked on them are listed below:

• Infrastructure Management: Network for Earthquake Engineering Simulation Independent Cost Review, Jon Adams (Project Leader), Robert Crosslin, John Dettbarn, John DiDuro, Doug Gray, Paul Jung and David Shepherd
• Logistics Management: Assessment of DoD’s Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives Emergency Response Notification Process, Gary Hennig, Amy Hopfe, Nora Ryan, Ken Stombaugh (Project Leader), and Nicholas Zimmon
• Resource Management: Department of Justice, FBI, National Name Check Program File Review “To-Be” Process Description, Amy Buck (Project Leader), Dean Francis, and Susan Cengiz.

The project selected to receive the President’s Project of the Year Award is Assessment of DoD’s Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives Emergency Response Notification Process. All members of the three projects teams will receive a nominal cash award and a certificate.
