EventsDr. Craig College to Speak to LMI Staff
McLean, Virginia, June 20, 2005—Dr. Craig College, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Infrastructure Analysis, will be the next speaker in the LMI Research Institute’s Distinguished Speaker program. In his speech, Dr. College will present the Army's perspective on some of DoD's base closure and realignment issues. The Distinguished Speaker program is designed to bring senior government officials to LMI to share their thinking on critical issues facing federal managers.
As the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Infrastructure, Dr. College oversees the Army's efforts on all issues related to the realignment and closure of Army installations. A former Field Artillery Officer, he has held many senior DoD positions in both the Office of the Secretary of Defense and Office of the Chief of Staff. Before assuming his current position, Dr. College was Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff, G-8, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff. He has received many awards for outstanding government service, including the Secretary of Defense Meritorious Civilian Service Award and the Joint Meritorious Service Medal.
Dr. College is a 1978 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He also has an MA and a PhD from Stanford University.
