Manik Rath is Finalist in 2005 Top Washington Lawyers Awards Program

Selected from a pool of more than 350 outstanding nominations

Washington DC, July 29—Manik Rath, LMI’s General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, has been selected as a finalist in the “Young Guns” category in the Washington Business Journal’s 2005 Top Washington Lawyers awards program. This category recognizes lawyers under the age of 40. This year, more than 350 outstanding lawyers were nominated for the awards. Winners will be announced at an evening awards reception on September 15 at the Ritz-Carlton in Washington, DC.

Manik joined LMI on February 1, 2005. As General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, he is responsible for all company legal issues and for coordinating meetings of LMI’s Board of Trustees. Prior to joining LMI, Manik was Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Assistant Secretary of Alion Science and Technology Corporation. He has also worked at the law firms of McGuire Woods and Baker & McKenzie. Manik is a member of the bar in Virginia, District of Columbia, and Texas. He has a JD and BA, both from the University of Virginia.
