EventsLMI Research Institute Sponsors Executive Forum Examines financial management issues facing government leaders
Washington, DC, July 20, 2005—The LMI Research Institute sponsored its second Executive Forum today. The subject of this forum was “Managing for Financial Success in the 21st Century.”
In this forum, senior managers from across government examined a variety of issues associated with financial management within the federal government. Those issues included
The forum concluded with the attendees identifying several critical success factors: leadership, vision, responsibility, and accountability.
The Executive Forums are designed to bring together senior officials from government—political appointees, career civilians, and flag officers—to discuss critical management issues facing the federal government. The objective is to facilitate frank and open exchanges, with the hope that they eventually lead to long-term structural, management, or policy enhancements. We sponsor these forums as part of our commitment to helping government leaders make decisions that have a lasting effect.
