Manik Rath Named One of the “Top Washington Lawyers”

Selected from a pool of more than 350 outstanding nominations

Washington DC, September 16, 2005—Manik Rath, LMI’s General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, has been selected as a winner in the “Young Guns” category in the Washington Business Journal’s 2005 Top Washington Lawyers awards program. In 2005, more than 350 outstanding lawyers were nominated for the awards. Winners, including LMI’s Manik Rath, were announced last evening at an awards ceremony at the Ritz-Carlton in Washington, DC.

Manik joined LMI in January, 2005. As General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, he is responsible for all company legal issues and for coordinating the business of LMI’s Board of Trustees. Prior to joining LMI, Manik was Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Assistant Secretary of Alion Science and Technology Corporation. He has also worked at the law firms of McGuire Woods and Baker & McKenzie. Manik is a member of the bar in Virginia, District of Columbia, and Texas. He has a JD and BA, both from the University of Virginia.
