Mr. Peter Kunkel Joins LMI as Distinguished Visiting Fellow

McLean, VA, July 6, 2009—Mr. Peter E. Kunkel, Acting Assistant Secretary of the Army for Financial Management and Comptroller from 2006 to 2008, recently joined LMI as a Distinguished Visiting Fellow. Before being named the acting assistant secretary, he was the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Financial Management and Comptroller. He also served in various positions within the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Congressional Liaison, from 2003 until 2006. Prior to his government service, Mr. Kunkel was an investment banker with UBS Warburg, LLC. A Marine Corps officer from 1992-1996, Mr. Kunkel has a BA in economics from Northwestern University and a J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law.
