LMI Expands San Antonio Office

LMI is expanding its San Antonio Office in order to continue serving dedicated clients in the National Capital Region.  Several long-term LMI clients, including the Army Installation Management Command and the Army Environmental Command, are relocating to San Antonio as a result of Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) 2005.

LMI Sponsors Howard University School of Business Minority MBA Case Competition

LMI was proud to be a sponsor at The 4th Annual Minority MBA Exclusive (MBAE) Case Competition hosted by Howard University School of Business October 31- November 1, 2008. The case study provided to students by LMI was based on real government issues, giving top MBA students from across the country the opportunity to demonstrate their strong analytic and communication skills on practical and pressing problems.

The Department of Defense (DoD) Business Transformation Agency (BTA) has awarded a contract for Thought Leadership/Change Management services to LMI. LMI is one of six companies to be awarded prime contracts with a five-year ceiling value of $260 million.

LMI and World Resources Institute Partner on Greenhouse Gas Accounting Guidance for Public Agencies

LMI has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the World Resources Institute (WRI) to create and publish a public agency supplement to the greenhouse gas (GHG) Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard, which was jointly developed by WRI and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development.

Don Pilling, Navy Admiral and CEO 1943 – 2008

LMI announces with profound regret and deep sorrow the death of President and CEO Adm. Donald Lee Pilling, a retired navy four-star admiral revered for his leadership, mathematical genius and easy sense of humor. Adm. Pilling died May 26, 2008 at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md. The Bayside, NY native was 64 years old and lived in Vienna, Va.
