MADW™ Recognized as Industry Innovator
The Maintenance and Availability Data Warehouse (MADW™) contains availability, cost, inventory and transactional data on nearly every Department of Defense (DoD) weapons system and readiness-reportable piece of equipment. In all, it includes more than one billion maintenance records from 46 authoritative data systems. And this sophisticated, pioneering solution is the direct result of a strategic partnership between LMI Ventures and Immuta, which provided its Automated Data Governance Platform.
Designed to assess the effect of corrosion on the cost and availability of weapons systems, MADW™ is capable of answering virtually any historical question concerning maintenance cost or availability.
With three service lines and eight sub-service lines contributing, the MADW™ project illustrates how LMI’s matrixed service model has strengthened solutions development and client delivery in ways that foster teamwork, information sharing and collaboration. LMI’s comprehensive support includes data curation and verification, digital services, dashboard development and website teams.
“MADW™ has enabled DoD to build a common sustainment ontology to measure and communicate the health of our weapons systems to all stakeholders—the Office of the Secretary of Defense, military service branches, Congress and the executive branch, and our defense industry partners,” said Dee Reardon, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Logistics and DoD’s logistics reform lead. “The LMI team proved critical in turning this initiative into reality and delivering an immediately usable product. LMI’s expertise and commitment helped the Department achieve the desired result in record time.”
