Bettina Garcia Welsh oversees LMI’s financial operations and supports strategic growth, risk management, and merger and acquisition activities. For more than 30 years, she has driven successful business performance in the government and commercial sectors while holding executive roles in the financial, compliance, and auditing space.
Previously chief audit executive and sector financial officer for Leidos, Bettina has extensive experience with risk mitigation practices, internal auditing functions, and effective financial governance. Prior to Leidos, her 13 years spent at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a principal consultant on domestic and international modernization projects equipped her with the experience to operate across all facets of an enterprise.
Bettina, a native Spanish speaker, was named as a 2016 Top 10 Corporate Executive of the Year by LATINA Style. She earned a bachelor’s in economics from Swarthmore College and a master’s in accountancy from George Washington University, and she is a Certified Public Accountant. Bettina serves on the board of directors and finance committee of FIRST Chesapeake, an independent nonprofit that brings STEM-based leadership programs to students in Maryland, D.C., and Virginia.
