As an expert on developing and delivering solutions to the challenges of weapons of mass destruction (WMDs), LMI fellow Ron Fizer improves organizations’ readiness to prevent the use and transfer of WMDs and respond to WMD hazards or chemical biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) effects. His expertise includes assessing capabilities against threats and hazards, finding gaps in organizations’ ability to accomplish their missions, delivering recommendations, and developing solutions to reduce those gaps to an acceptable risk level.
In 2020, Ron’s main objectives are to increase current and potential clients’ awareness of LMI’s capabilities in the WMD space, develop repeatable but customizable offerings to assess gaps and risk for clients that assist them in making better informed investments in capabilities, and increase our WMD talent by delivering focused training to LMIers.
Ron was drawn to LMI because he saw an opportunity to work with a diverse pool of talented individuals and a wide range of organizational capabilities, including logistics and sustainment, advanced analytics, healthcare, and national security. “LMI teams customize solutions better for WMD-related work and provide our clients with a broader range of in-house capabilities,” he says. “That was and remains exciting for me—working with talented professionals to assess client needs and deliver holistic solutions.”
