Dr. Debora Boyle brings strategic leadership and scientific acumen to biodefense preparedness and public health initiatives. She has clinical and research experience in the healthcare field as a small-animal veterinarian, nurse, and occupational and environmental epidemiologist.

As a senior scientist and project manager to Department of Defense (DoD) and Homeland Security (DHS) customers, Dr. Boyle has collaborated with technical and subject matter experts to execute projects on schedule and within budget. Her contributions to biosurveillance and chemical-biological detection efforts have supported the development and evaluation of wearable, non-traditional sensor technologies as well as incident planning and response plans, processes, and capabilities. She has led planning of DoD and DHS capability demonstrations and directed a DoD analysis of alternatives for temporary corneal repair.

Dr. Boyle graduated from the University of North Dakota with a bachelor’s in nursing. She also holds a doctorate in environmental health and injury epidemiology, a master’s in environmental health and occupational epidemiology, and a doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Minnesota.
