John C. David leads development and delivery of LMI’s services and capabilities related to chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) defense and preparedness; life sciences; and biosecurity. He also oversees technical management of client activities that advance counter–weapons of mass destruction (CWMD) and counterproliferation missions. His teams provide federal clients with scientific and engineering expertise, including technology forecasting and scouting, pharmaceutical development, and testing and evaluation of first-responder devices.
John joined LMI in 2019 after 10 years at The Tauri Group, where he rose from task lead to director of the Asymmetric Threat Mitigation Division. In this role, he managed CWMD and life sciences portfolios encompassing 85 employees and $34 million in revenue. Prior to Tauri, he worked at MRIGlobal as a program manager and principal investigator of projects involving growth, isolation, identification, and characterization of environmental and medical microbes in lab settings up to Biological Safety Level 3.
John is a former lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy Medical Service Corps. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in microbiology from the University of Nebraska.
