
Larry is a subject matter expert on national security and sustainability. He currently advises LMI customers on the real and potential national security consequences of climate change. He also runs the only website on water and sustainability issues in Hawaii and contributed to the state’s future water strategic plan for LMI.
With over 25 years of public service, Larry served as a senior executive within the federal government and as a commander in the U.S. Navy. Among his federal roles, he led a center on climate change and national security as well as a federal-private partnership fostering advanced technology development. He has received a federal medallion for career achievement and a service medal for defense meritorious service, among other honors.
Larry holds a bachelor’s in international relations and political science from Colgate University. He completed a certificate in sustainable business from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and is finishing a water sustainability certificate from Colorado State University in Denver.
