Tysons, Va. – LMI today announced it will support the Department of Defense’s supply chain, maintenance, transportation, and contingency management operations across numerous logistics disciplines as well as government and commercial supply chains. This contract is valued at over $50 million throughout the full period of performance.
The contract will furnish a broad range of DoD logistics and program support operations to the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Sustainment, the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Logistics (ODASD Logistics), and the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Materiel Readiness. LMI will furnish its expertise in strategic communications, operational contract support, private security contractors, vendor threat mitigation, and strategic integration.
The contract combines three efforts in support of the recent reorganization within the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Sustainment organization. The award continues LMI’s six decades as a trusted partner with the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), the military services, and defense agencies.
“The award of this contract continues LMI’s legacy of support to the government and helps to ensure continuity in OSD’s reform efforts to improve readiness and lethality,” commented Stu Jones, director of LMI’s Supply Chain Management practice. “We are focused on helping ODASD Logistics frame policy and guidance to increase readiness and efficiency within the DoD.”
