Military Times has recognized LMI as a top employer for military veterans for the ninth consecutive year. LMI surpassed its 2017 ranking, placing among Fortune 500 companies and organizations known for their consistently high standings in military employment and transitioning.
Known for its extensive questions, the annual survey assesses organizations on their commitment to recruiting employees connected to the military, evaluating company policies and culture around military members, reservists and their families.
“The majority of the work we do is deeply connected to the military community. With a workforce of more than 30 percent veterans, we share similar values and experiences,” said Dave Zolet, president and CEO of LMI. “It’s who we are as a company, and we’ll continue to show exceptional support for our transitioning military members and their families.”
LMI partners with a number of veteran and military service organizations and has a variety of programs and resources dedicated to hiring and retaining veterans. These efforts include LMI’s Training with Industry program and a newly established veterans affinity group, LVETS, created to offer employees a sense of community, networking opportunities and resources—whether military-affiliated or not.
“LMI takes extraordinary pride in attracting and retaining the best employees, and we highly value giving back to those who have served our country,” said Angie Casper, senior vice president and chief human resources officer. “Our continued support for veterans and their families will only expand as our company grows.”
