Tysons, VA—The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) selected LMI as its Shared Savings Program Operational Support contractor. LMI will assist CMS with operationalizing the program’s annual application cycle, education and outreach strategy, and compliance strategy. Valued at $65 million, this contract comprises a one-year base period and four one-year option periods.

As CMS’ operational support contractor, LMI maintains a panel of experts who ensure that each Shared Savings Program application is reviewed for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with program requirements. The Medicare Shared Savings Program’s compliance strategy focuses on monitoring and assessing the performance of these ACOs.

LMI will continue to assist CMS in analyzing ACOs’ adherence to program rules and requirements. In addition, LMI will build upon the education and outreach strategy it has established with the Shared Savings Program. In collaboration with CMS, LMI’s staff will help develop and disseminate education and outreach materials, including webinars, guidance, templates, and commonly asked questions.
