Tysons, Va. – The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) has selected LMI to provide ongoing support for its research and development (R&D) efforts through critical innovations in the areas of planning, procurement, product quality, technical data, and data management. LMI has partnered with DLA in bringing cutting-edge innovations to improve its technologies and business processes since 2009. These new efforts will bolster acquisition modernization, data quality, and digital rights management.

LMI’s approach to solving customer needs is to first determine how they operate and their challenges, then identify the most effective solutions to improve overall capabilities. This means thoroughly vetting the latest commercial products and technologies as well as identifying those that match the requirements versus merely adopting the newest technology fads. The desired result is a solution set that can be fully transitioned to operational use by DLA and other clients.

“The partnership we have with DLA is extremely important to LMI. Continuing to build upon it will not only afford us with opportunity to provide innovative solutions; it will enable us to ensure they are well positioned to effectively manage their data and products,” said Robert Lech, vice president of LMI’s defense market.
