Tysons, Va. – LMI has named Karen Britton as chief digital officer and vice president of marketing and communications and Josh Wilson as vice president of digital and analytic solutions, a new business unit resulting from the merger of its advanced analytics and digital services practices. Britton, who served as vice president of digital services, and Wilson, who headed advanced analytics, assumed their new responsibilities on June 1.

CEO and President Brian Fitzpatrick said, “Digital architectures enable the data science and machine learning techniques that make data-driven insights possible. We believe this realignment will simplify the way our customers acquire these interrelated services and accelerate our delivery of solutions. Karen and Josh are outstanding leaders and colleagues who will make this transition seamless for our organization and customers. I am excited to see them represent LMI in their new roles.”

Wilson will lead a capabilities practice encompassing advanced analytics and artificial intelligence, data and enterprise operations, and digital solutions. Wilson’s advanced analytics team helped customers realize analytics-driven innovation to materially improve citizen services, enhance performance, and develop organic capabilities. A former U.S. Army officer with two overseas tours focused on infrastructure reconstruction efforts in Iraq, Wilson then joined Deloitte’s public-sector practice, where he specialized in analytics-driven business model transformation and strategic planning engagements.

Britton will oversee LMI’s external communications efforts, with an emphasis on growing its digital presence. As deputy chief information officer and subsequent CIO of the Executive Office of the President between 2009 and 2014, she helped enable technologies and open-source approaches to deliver President Obama’s agenda to the American people. Britton began her career as a general engineer with the Submarine Maintenance Engineering, Planning, and Procurement Activity at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. She concluded her Navy career as deputy command information officer of the Naval Sea Systems Command, with responsibility for command-wide IT planning, policy, and budget management.
