Ashley’s diverse leadership career, ranging from the military to consulting to entrepreneurship, began at the United States Military Academy. During her time at the Academy, she was a four-year Division I Swimmer, a four-time Patriot League Honor Roll student, the Black and Gold Leadership Forum Founder, and the International Relations Award for Excellence Winner. Ashley graduated with a bachelor’s in management and leadership with the highest GPA in the major. Upon graduation, she was commissioned into the U.S. Army, where she served as an engineer officer. Ashley was the fifth female in history to graduate from the Sapper Leader Course. She served as an operations officer during Operation Enduring Freedom, leading the engineer brigade commander’s patrols throughout Afghanistan. Ashley earned a bronze star for her combat service. After finishing her service, she joined Deloitte Consulting, where she delivered strategy consulting services to the Under Secretary of Defense offices. She was the primary consultant responsible for devising the Business Strategy for the Department of Defense. Ashley’s passion for both business and design led her to co-found the jewelry brand Stella Valle with her sister, where Ashley led the company to success as the chief operations officer and chief creative officer. In 2021, Ashley returned to consulting to continue to serve federal government customers as a principal and practice area director for Digital Transformation and Strategy at LMI. She was recently named vice president of human capital solutions.
