Thomas Kaess

Tom is a Navy veteran with over 20 years of experience and expertise in business development, program and project management, developing strategy, and managing operations for the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense, and other government agencies. Tom began his private-sector career at the Naval Sea Systems Command Above Water Ship Signatures Office, Sea Shadow program, and DDG-1000 programs. He transitioned to the IC when ManTech International acquired his company. Tom managed a large IC portfolio with contracts at the NRO, NGA, and CIA. Since leaving ManTech, he has managed profit, loss, and growth at various small-to-medium companies. Prior to joining LMI as business development (BD) lead for the intelligence market, Tom was vice president, Growth at LTS, Inc., where he delivered revenue and built, led, and managed the entire growth team, including BD, capture, proposals, pricing, solutions, and recruiting.

Tom is PMP and ITIL v3 certified. He earned his bachelor’s in physical oceanography from the United States Naval Academy and his master’s in business administration from the George Washington University. He is pursuing his doctorate in business administration from Liberty University. Tom is a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Program Management Institute, and the Intelligence and National Security Alliance.
