Tysons, Va.—The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Military Unique Sustainment Technology (MUST) Program has selected LMI to support research and development (R&D) for the DLA Troop Support Clothing and Textiles (C&T) supply chain. As part of this two-year contract worth $3.2 million, LMI will assist the MUST Program in evaluating and improving logistics processes to mitigate manufacturing challenges and enhance supply chain functionality.*

The MUST Program promotes manufacturing and logistics improvements for DLA Troop Support C&T issues and establishes a knowledge-based approach to collaborate on developing and acquiring combat uniforms and individual equipment. LMI’s support will build on past work benefiting DLA supply chain management and reducing manufacturing problems. This project will increase accessibility and visibility of requirements data, improve product quality, enable easier updates to technical data, shorten lead times, promote more cost-efficient operations, and reduce inventory stockouts.
