Eric Oettl

Eric Oettl is the vice president of LMI’s acquisition & sustainment subservice line, delivering solutions that enable federal customers to acquire, sustain, and manage critical systems and key equipment across the full lifecycle.​

Eric joined LMI in 2018, bringing over 30 years of subject matter expertise and leadership experience in defense and national security acquisition, logistics, and supply chain management. Prior to joining LMI, Eric served as a U.S. Navy Supply Corps officer for over 25 years, highlighted by tours as the supply officer for the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) and as commander at Defense Contract Management Agency—Lockheed Martin, Moorestown, NJ. He has led organizations as large as 500 people and was accountable for inventories over $300 million as well as the execution of budgets exceeding $105 million.  

Eric earned a master’s in systems management—acquisition and contracting from the Naval Postgraduate School and a bachelor’s in computer science from The Citadel. He is also a graduate of the Executive Education Program: Strategy and Organization at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. He is a member of the National Defense Industrial Association, National Contract Management Association, and the Defense Acquisition Corps.
