Happy Pride!
Pride Month is a wonderful time to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community. Coming together as allies and advocates in our workplace and with external partners is a fantastic way to show support.
The Alliance holds a special place in LMI's history as our first employee resource group (ERG). Over the years, it has paved the way for many inclusion efforts. From supporting local LGBTQIA+ community initiatives to organizing educational and engagement opportunities for LMIers, the Alliance has been at the forefront of building a place of belonging at LMI. We've proudly participated in events like DC Capital Pride and the Pikes Peak Pride Parade in Colorado Springs.
When discussing what the Alliance means to our employees, our members say it best:
-
“I love that the group gives me a place to connect with other LMIers about what’s important to our community and serves as a safe space for us all to have conversations that go beyond surface levels of advocacy. And we have fun!”
“I value the sense of community and networking opportunities provided by the Alliance ERG as it allows us to further cultivate an inclusive culture where everyone feels valued and supported. It's rewarding to see the LGBTQIA+ community represented within LMI, actively contributing to our broader DEIA efforts.”
“I love that the group has connected me to other LMIers that I would not have connected with in my regular job; I also love helping with the events like Pride parades and volunteer events.”
“The Alliance means that I can be a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community at LMI!”
Our dedication to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) extends far beyond Pride Month. We channel our passion to support our customers’ missions. In addition to supporting the Alliance, LMI partners with external customers to support operational and strategic approaches that advance inclusive innovation, externally and internally. Our commitment to DEIA and supporting our LGBTQIA+ community includes resources, such as our inclusive language and gender inclusion guidance, which offer a framework to enable LMIers to be comfortable sharing their full selves at work and collaborate on inclusion efforts. During Pride Month, we reaffirm our commitment to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and supported. Join us in celebrating Pride Month and promoting inclusion at LMI and for our federal partners. Together, we can continue to progress.
Happy Pride Month from the LMI Alliance ERG!
