Arun Gupta joined LMI’s board in May 2021. He is a venture partner at Columbia Capital. He also serves as an adjunct professor and senior advisor at Georgetown University and as an adjunct lecturer at Stanford University.
A senior advisor to the provost at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, Mr. Gupta actively engages in initiatives related to technology and society, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity (specifically, the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency’s Cybersecurity Evaluation Tool, or CSET), and the Georgetown Pivot Program, which teaches business skills to citizens returning to the workforce following incarceration.
During his 17 years as a partner at Columbia Capital, Mr. Gupta’s investments spanned four funds with nearly $3 billion under his management, with a focus on emerging tech-enabled service companies in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and federal services. He remains on the board and actively involved with Columbia portfolio companies. He also maintains dynamic relationships in the private equity, venture capital, and investment banking communities.
Mr. Gupta holds a bachelor’s degree with distinction in electrical engineering and a master’s in engineering economic systems from Stanford University. He also received a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
